The residency is open to 10 artists working in (but not limited to)painting - collage - textile - photography - book arts - paper.
Participants will live and work at Aba House, our cultural center/guest house in a fishing village across the street from the ocean.
The residency is not juried, but is based on an interest in interacting with other artists and mentoring creative young Africans.
There will be a trip into Accra to museums, galleries and a large outdoor market and there will be an exhibition in an Accra gallery of work produced for the residency.
Cost is $1800.00 (US) and includes: airport pickup - room - food - transport in Ghana - traditional drum and dance performance - one copy of exhibit catalog - exhibition expenses
Not included: airfare and related expenses and art supplies.
