MCAD GALLERY EXHIBITIONS: 2002 ANNUAL FACULTY EXHIBITION AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 19 Reception, Friday, August 30, 5 to 7 p.m. The energetic, innovative spirit of MCAD is demonstrated in this lively exhibition featuring works of more than 50 full- and part-time faculty of the College. On view are painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed-media, photography, video, illustration and computer design. 
SITUATED REALITIES EXHIBITION OCTOBER 1 - OCTOBER 25 This international group of pioneering artists has boldly situated representations of some of the most salient issues of our time within the imaginative possibilities of the computed image, reflecting on how the mind - and the universe it imagines - fits together with the technology it has also created. This exhibition is the culmination of a unique seminar at Maryland Institute College of Art. 
JEROME ARTISTS 2002 EXHIBITION NOVEMBER 1-24 Since 1981, a unique MCAD/Jerome Foundation Fellowship program has provided financial assistance, professional criticism and public recognition to Twin Cities artists in the early stages of their careers. The fellowships culminate in this exhibition that presents new work by 2001-2002 Fellows. SCHOOLGIRLS AND MOBILESUITS: JAPANESE MANGA AND ANIME WEEKEND WORKSHOP SEPTEMBER 27-29 Lectures / Screenings / Workshops
Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) will host Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits, the second annual weekend workshop intensive study in the culture and creation of Japanese Manga (Comics) and Anime (Animation) September 27-29. 
An all-access pass, including admission to all lectures, film screenings and the fashion show is $69. For $602, registrants will receive one undergraduate college credit.
