Call For Audiovisual Works: An American Music Symposium and New Music Festival

The Division of Music at Jacksonville University is pleased to announce a call for works for our New Music Festival, to be held in various venues around Jacksonville University on March 2-10, 2014. The festival, as part of this year's symposium on American Music, will feature only works by American composers. For this call, we are primarily interested in electroacoustic compositions that include video and fixed media (without instruments), but will consider other types video works as well. Composers are invited but not required to attend, and there is no submission fee. We will send out notifications by early January.

Both physical and digital submissions will be accepted. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered.

Electronic submissions are strongly preferred. Please do not send materials as attachments, as they will be deleted.

For digital submissions:
Send an email to molson1@ju.edu with the subject "NMF Submission" and include a link (Dropbox, Google Drive, Yousendit, etc) to the following materials:

- A high quality version of the work in .mov/.mp4/.avi format.
- .doc/.txt file with a bio, program notes, and full contact information(including email).

For physical submissions:

On a data disk, please provide:
- a .mov, .mp4, or .avi file.
- If the work involves software, please include these files and associated media.
