'Little Emotions, Great Captains': video and music
Friday, June 20 at 8 PM

ISCP (International Studio and Curatorial Program) proudly presents the first event in a brand-new series of curated art showcases, featuring contemporary art by ISCP artists / curators and by artists living and working in New York.

'Little Emotions, Great Captains' is an exclusive selection of video art by internationally acclaimed artists. Loosely associated by an interest in the drama of everyday routines and incidents, these works race a diverse choreography of grand emotions and ordinary, yet ritualized gestures. Feeling and/or performing? Come see for yourself.

VIDEO PROGRAM (approximately 45 min):

Ann Carson/Mary Ellen Strom (US)
Nanna Debois Buhl (Denmark)
Sven Johne (Germany), ISCP resident artist
Jesper Just (Denmark), ISCP resident artist
Rä di Martino (Italy)
Guido van der Werve (The Netherlands), ISCP resident artist

LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE

After the video screening, Snake’s and Jet’s Amazing Bullit Band will perform in the lounge. A duo from Copenhagen, Denmark using hammond organ, drums, screeching guitars and vintage synths, Snake and Jet draws on blues, rock, punk and even synth-pop for their unique retro-modern style. Lyrics are sparse but memorable.
