I went to high school here in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Was I exceptional?
Yes in that it was claimed that I never paid attention. O grimly born to
northern siege of state! I learned how to thinkvive, a term from a class of
words I'm advocating from Benjamin about survival etc. After a term of
thinkvival, then I began my extra-academic operations up in the the old
bonnet. By the end of high school I had determined to learn the entire canon
of every major western discipline–I'd already finished higher maths, so it
was on to reading (poetry), painting, architecture, poli-sci, you name it.
So for me, I think I compare to Shakespeare–was he an exceptional high
school student? Hell if I know. Everybody's different.

I heard that Stephen Hawking is suing against Wolfram's book! Amazing times.

So in fact I am correct that there is a marketing problem almost beyond
belief or comprehension of risk, or something. It's tantamount to an
aesthetic upheaval that I can only describe as the Genius 2000 Network. I
personally would be glad if McDonald's switched to falafel, for biopollution
reasons.

Not necessarily. What if you invent a new way of talking? I have to think
that's the major variable of any purpose to this list. That and Moby, I
heard that Eminem disses Moby on his new album. What is up with Moby?

This is a fairly nihilistic attitude, but I'd be interested to hear what
others think. One often hears open source discussed as analogous to freedom
per se; what are the downsides to open source? I'm thinking it's a bell
curve maybe.

It seems to me that this holds fairly true vis-a-vis primate stress-endocrine
(drangendokrizie) neurobiology, and zen buddhism. Also to Genius 2000. The
wish is secondary.

I don't see anything illegal or immoral about doing that, right off.

Is it fair to say that in the behind-the-scenes world of art criticism, the
Vasulkas don't care for NN and vice versa? Why would that be? Chris? What
about other blue-chip artists like Nam June Paik and Bill Viola, or more to
the point, Yoko Ono? Is there an analog vs. digital schism or something?
