Harmony in the Age of Noise
April 23 - August 10, 2008
Tisch Library Rooftop at Tufts University

Join us in celebrating the unveiling of a revolutionary and interactive sonic art installation on April 23 from 4:00-5:30 P.M. on Tisch Library Rooftop at Tufts University. This exhibit was created to inspire a public exploration of the politics of sight and sound, and the impact that interplay has on our environment and daily lives. World-famous sound artist Bruce Odland, who has created large-scale sonic interventions on four continents, is collaborating on this project with Tufts Professor of Anthropology David Guss, Sculptor Mark McNamara, new media artist Michael Luck Schneider, as well as more than 100 Tufts students, faculty and staff to create this piece of innovative audio art. Odland will be performing an original composition for brass and carillon at the opening. This event is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be served.
