The Graphic Design program within the School of Art+Design at Purchase College, State University of New York is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach a sophomore level class (Digital Media for Designers 2) that introduces design majors to the tools and methodologies of motion graphics and interactive design.
We’re looking for a graphic designer adept at Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver (or equivalent Web software), and some knowledge of HTML5/CSS and/or Flash. Prior college level teaching experience would be nice, but strong interest in teaching a must! Salary commensurate with experience.
The Graphic Design program at Purchase College is a professional degree program (BFA) that approaches graphic design as a vital field of professional art practice that gives meaningful form to culture through a wide variety of media. Purchase College is a 4000-student, public liberal arts college that includes renown professional degree programs in the visual and performing arts, part of the State University of New York System, located on a 500-acre campus 25 miles north of NYC in Westchester NY (near White Plains).
