DLECTRICITY Open Call for Entries! Funding for your project! DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JUNE 11!

Selected projects will receive up to $2500 for project budgets and an additional $1000 honorarium.

DLECTRICITY is looking for up to 25 site-specific, outdoor projects and/or performances for Midtown’s Woodward Corridor will be selected through the Open Call for Entry process by the DLECTRICITY Curatorial Committee. The Curatorial Committee, selected by the Founders of Art Detroit Now, an organization representing over 90 contemporary arts venues in metro Detroit, will select projects and/or performances based on a number of criteria, including artistic merit and how well it uses various media like light, video projection, film, sound, 3D video mapping, and other technology within an urban environment.

DLECTRICITY is a free nighttime, outdoor contemporary art festival in Detroit which will invite emerging and established artists, lighting designers, performers and architects to make site-specific installations of light, sound, performance and projection—transforming the Woodward corridor into an illuminated urban spectacle for thousands of visitors. DLECTRICITY will be held:

Friday, October 5, from 7pm-12am
Saturday, October 6, from 5pm-2am
