Win an H4n! Soundcrawl launches {minicrawl} contest

[text=center]In an effort to raise funds for Soundcrawl's upcoming 501c3 incorporation, Soundcrawl is hosting its first contest. Sound artists and composers are invited to submit audio miniatures (aiff/wav) of less than ninety seconds, the entry fee is $10 and there are some awesome prize packages:[/text] - First Prize: 1 year digital subscription to Electronic Musician and a Zoom H4n

- Second Prize: 1 year digital subscription to Electronic Musician and Sennheiser HD280 Headphones

- Third Prize: 1 year digital subscription to Electronic Musician.


Additionally, the top 7 (including 1st, 2nd and 3rd) selections will be included in a compilation EP distributed on Noisetrade.


Minicrawl has a uniquely Soundcrawl format:


Feb 14 - Mar 25: Artists submit works via soundcrawl.org, complete the submission forms and fees:
March 26-April 1: The ten works displaying the most artistic and technical merit are posted to Soundcrawl's Soundcloud page for public, online "favoriting."
The works with the most favoritings will win the prizes.
April 2: Winners announced on Soundcrawl.org and prizes sent.



CALL FOR WORKS:

Soundcrawl welcomes audio miniatures of not more than 90 seconds from composers, sound engineers, sound artists and tinkers from every corner of the world for our first MiniCrawl.

FILE TYPE: Works should be in either .wav or .aif file formats, and follow the following naming convention: LASTNAME_TITLE.AIF

GENRE: We accept anything in an fixed audio file. We try to do our best to represent the four genres of work as we see them: Music Concrete, Synthesis, Soundscapes and Poetry.

FEE: $10.

DEADLINE: March 25, 2012. (on March 26, the ten works displaying the most artistic and technical merit will be posted to Soundcloud for online "favoriting." )
