AIA New Orleans is still accepting proposals for the 2011 DesCours presentation, which will occur nightly from December 2 to December 11 in downtown New Orleans. This year we celebrate the 5th anniversary of DesCours, a free, public architecture exhibition that showcases that latest technologies and innovations in architecture and design. Site-specific installations are built in ‘hidden’ locations throughout downtown New Orleans; these locations are typically unseen or inaccessible to the public and range from private, residential courtyards to abandoned commercial buildings. Installations are openly nightly, from 6pm to 10pm, from December 2 to December 11. Each night, a different installations will showcase a special event and/or live, local music to further enrich the sensory experience.
