Subject: MnSOAWatch 7.18 7pm
We had a very successful event on the 4th of July. Twenty-five activists
leafletted at the Taste of Minnesota from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. It was a
beautiful summer day and the Puppet Generals attracted a lot of attention.
Many people seemed interested to learn more about the SOA. We also felt
very good because some people already knew about this School of Assassins.
On Thursday July 18th at 7:00 pm, we will have our monthly MnSOAWatch
meeting in the library at the Resource Center of the Americas. Please join
us. All are welcome.
Last week 37 SOAWatch activists faced trial and sentencing in Columbus
Georgia for their nonviolent acts of resistance last November. Please go
to <http://www.soaw.org> for all the details. Also take time to look at
the pictures on MnSOAW site for photos of the July 4th action and photos
from the trial in Columbus, GA. <http://www.circlevision.org>

For example, the political questions of democracy and fascism relate to art.

I find the arts to be closely link to the academy in today's global society=
.
The linkages of art and the academy are many and diverse. However I feel=
today's academy to be somehow stuck in a rut.
But seriously, point taken. I'm wondering if Natalie is correct in doubtin=
g
whether the polis even exists at this point, at this "NOW," and no fwd
progress is attainable.
The polis is the authority to question authority; or as the soon-to-expire=
Republican Gracchus rues in Kubrick's entertaining "Spartacus," "Rome is th=

mob."
So.
