The Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media at the University of Washington would like to invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for a one year (with possibility of renewal) Research Fellow/Lecturer Position in Mechatronic Art. The successful applicant should be a practicing artist with national or international experience in the field. His/her principle area of practice should be broadly in the area of mechatronic art. This would include at least one of the following specializations:

- computer vision
- rapid prototyping / 3D digital fabrication
- interactive installation
- artificial intelligence
- algorithmic video
- internet art
- telematics

You should have the ability to teach studio classes incorporating skills in programming, fabrication, telematics, electronics, microcontrollers, sensors and mechanics. You should also be able to provide research support to faculty in the mechatronics subject area at DXARTS.

Masters degree, equivalent or higher required. Application must include: CV, artist statement, statement on pedagogy, and a portfolio of current professional creative work and research. Portfolio of work can be on DVD or online.  Please include a SASE for return of materials.
