Tomorrow Stars and The Drawing Show winners will be presented at the
Miami Beach edition of Verge, taking place this December 1-4, 2011 at
the Maxine Hotel and Beach Club during Art Basel Miami Beach. As the
number one art fair market in the United States, Verge: Art Miami Beach
offers artists an unprecedented opportunity to have their work two
blocks from Art Basel at the Miami Beach convention center.

Tomorrow Stars at Verge: Art Miami Beach 2011
Premiered at the inaugural Verge: Art Brooklyn, 'Tomorrow Stars' has
proven an important platform for artists to receive essential exposure
to gallerists, museum curators, press and collectors. We are looking
for the best in not-yet-seen before new work; finalists selected by our
panel of distinguished jurors will be given space to exhibit one work
from their application at Tomorrow Stars Miami Beach. Works selected by
the panel will be exhibited at Verge Art Miami in a special artist’s
spotlight section. This open call is available to all artists
practicing in every media in and outside of Miami. Applications are now
being accepted for consideration.

Chosen by a distinguished panel of jurors, 'Tomorrow Stars' represents the brightest and best Miami and the world has to offer.

The Drawing Show at Verge: Art Miami Beach 2011
Continuing in the effort to advance the interests of unique approaches
to the current state of visual art, Verge Art is proud to announce its
commitment to mounting an exhibition devoted exclusively to drawing as
a medium that overlaps all disciplines. The Drawing Show will present
drawing as a unique artistic practice, one that is universally
accessible, and often the first step in an artist's exercise of ideas
that inform both their larger creative practice and the cultivation of
new forms of visual art.

As a touchstone to the evolutions influenced by and visited upon
artistic practice by the art marketplace and its requisite economic
fluxuations, drawing continues to serve as a subversive force, both in
its delineation of artistic ideas as well as in its potential to
inspire and serve as the first step in production unrestrained by
economic categories.
