Oakland, CA: Pro Arts Presents Jingletown Junction, a group presentation of an individuals experience on living in an artists neighborhood.
“Art that is of, about, on and out of our surroundings.”


Jingletown Arts and Business Community (JABC) is a dynamic grass-roots assembly of neighborhood artists, musicians, merchants, businesspeople and other residents, come together in the spirit of cooperation and symbiosis, to foster and nurture community, to encourage and promote the mutual exchange of ideas, creativity, resources, expertise, sponsorship, productivity and patronage.
Jingletown is located on the estuary of Oakland and Alameda. An ever changing and evolving area that collectively shares a common experience of the then, here and now. It is a stimulating creative environment with endless new faces, stories and backgrounds. Jingletown Junction artists find inspiration by observing the changes, the ins and outs of industry and inhabitation, and by collecting the discarded items and eroded memories of the community. All of the artists come from different backgrounds of training and perspectives. All of the artists share a common goal to create work that commemorates, embodies and celebrates the collaborative experience of living in , working in and sharing an artists’ community in Oakland.
