The luxury car brand INFINITI, in collaboration with Designboom has recently announced the 'INFINITI digital art competition', inviting artists to create new media installations for display in new INFINITI centers opening throughout Europe.

Competition Brief
Participants are asked to design:
- an interior installation piece
- and/or digital artwork for a building facade
…to become the unforgettable star of showroom opening events
throughout Europe, bringing new ideas and emotions to visitors.
The 'INFINITI digital art competition' will consist of three rounds over the course of the year,
each focusing on one element of the INFINITI brand. The first period of the competition
is now open for entry and asks you to consider digital art responses to the theme of
'Inspired Performance'.
Submissions may take the form of interactive digital installations or sculptures,
visual projections on INFINITI's buildings, 3D mapping experiments, Microsoft Surface projects,
or other exciting new media works. Artists are welcome but not required to submit projects
that include both a design for exterior projection and one for interior installation.

Prizes
The winning entry for each period of the competition
will receive a prize of 10,000 euro.
Six projects for each theme will be shortlisted, and installed at several showroom opening events
across Europe. Special media coverage will generate exposure of these works to over 7 million viewers.

Deadlines
Registration and submissions for the 'Inspired Performance' competition
will be accepted through July 8th.
Participation is open to applicants from every country in the world,
to artists, professionals, VJs, students, and design-enthusiasts.
