Senior Lecturer – Photography

The photography area in The Ohio State University’s Department
of Art is searching for a full-time Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track faculty, 1-3
year(s) appointment) beginning in the 2011 -2012 school year. The ideal
candidate should have more than two years college-level teaching experience,
possess advanced level B&W wet darkroom capabilities, and is able to teach digital
imaging and printing or a combination of the following classes; alternative
photographic processes, large format photography, and/or studio lighting. The
candidate must have knowledge and be well versed in the theoretical,
contemporary and historical lineage of photography.
The Senior Lecturer in Photography is a full time faculty
position and will work closely with the Department of Art faculty,
undergraduate, and graduate students. The Senior Lecturer will also have access
to the vast resources available at OSU. This includes 24-hour access to studio
space, as well as borrowing privileges from the campus libraries. Inclusion in
Faculty Exhibitions, service on departmental committees and participation in
the creative community of OSU and Columbus will be encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Eligibility is firmly contingent upon
those who have completed their MFA degree and who have the appropriate college-
