A.I.R. Gallery invites women artists to apply for our New York City Artists Program or National/International Artists Program. A.I.R. (Artists in Residence) is the first artist-run, not-for-profit gallery for women in the US. While the gallery has a professional staff, the NYC Artists define the scope and activities of the organization and the direction of their own careers. Membership benefits include exhibitions at the gallery, art fairs, and venues abroad; representation on the gallery’s website and flat files; and networking opportunities with A.I.R. members in NY and across the country.
A.I.R. Gallery is now located in the thriving DUMBO gallery district in Brooklyn, NY. Look on our website under “opportunities” to learn more about each program and how to apply: http://www.airgallery.org. Artists working in video, new media, and installation, as well as traditional media, are encouraged to apply. A.I.R. seeks a diverse group of artists and approaches to art making.
There is no deadline but we encourage you to apply soon as there are a limited number of openings. We will begin reviewing new applications for the National/International Artists Program on May 1, 2011.
